Whist touring to support Behind The Mask, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie both announce that they are going to retire from touring with Fleetwood Mac. Christine will continue to record on the future Fleetwood Mac albums, however due to a disagreement with Mick over using Silver Springs on her solo album Timespace, Stevie will vow never to work with Fleetwood Mac again. (Mick will not allow Stevie to use the song as he is keeping it for the future Fleetwood Mac box set).

The classic version of Fleetwood Mac comprising of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie reform to perform Don't Stop at President Clinton's inaugural ball. Afterwards Lindsey and Stevie will then return to their own solo careers and will not be involved with Fleetwood Mac till 1996/97.

Fleetwood Mac perform Say You Love Me at the XXVII Superbowl pre-game concert, the band line-up consists of Fleetwood, McVie, McVie, Burnette and the returning Vito who agrees to perform at this show only.

The event was a benefit for the Southwest Centre for Biological Diversity. There were two shows, at 2 PM and 7:30 PM.
