Mr. President, you gave your word to close Guantanamo

On January 11, 2014, the 12th anniversary of the opening of the "war on terror" prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, after speeches outside the White House, I photographed this placard as the crowd of several hundred protestors set off, despite the pouring rain, on a march to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, where further actions were planned.
