S.414 � R.W. Lindholm Service Station,

Cloquet Avenue (Route 45) at Route 33, Cloquet, Minnesota

This was Wright�s only service station built during his lifetime, and it remains open for business (another service station design has been built in a museum in Buffalo).� You are permitted to wander the grounds and take photographs.� The second-floor waiting room is locked, although the stairs leading to it remain accessible.

The gas station was commissioned after Wright had already designed the owner�s home (S.353), which was just a couple miles south along Route 33.� The house has since been moved to Pennsylvania for reconstruction at the Polymath Park architectural park.
