Trey RutherfordDIRECTOR Trey Rutherford (TR) earned his B.A. in Theatre (Concentration in Direction) and M.A.T. in Secondary English Education from Georgia College in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Before coming to the C-House, he served as the Director of Theatre at Roswell High School for five years, and directed such productions as Bright Star, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, James and the Giant Peach, Romeo & Juliet, Lost Girl, Much Ado About Nothing, and Julius Caesar.TR believes in the transformative power of Art, particularly the Performing Arts, as a means to better understand and to form connections with one another. As a reflection of ourselves acting in concert with the text on the page. As an opportunity for growth.As an opportunity to create beautiful somethings. TR is an avid lover of Shakespeare, Sondheim, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He and his family--his beautiful wife, Nicole, and their two children (plus one dog!)--are excited to join the Central community. He is honored to serve as Director of Theatre at Central Stage and to continue its storied legacy of excellence!
Amy NealASSISTANT/MUSICAL DIRECTOR Amy has been leading the choral program at Forsyth Central since the fall of 2017. Before joining the FCHS staff, Amy taught music at Haw Creek Elementary in Forsyth County and White Sulphur Elementary in Hall County. During her four years at Haw Creek Elementary the choral program tripled in size and created a foundation for students to continue to pursue music in middle and high school.At Central, Amy’s primary focus has been creating a family feel in the classroom with a tight-knit community of singers who work together to create music while also developing the necessary skills for students to continue to pursue music beyond high school.Amy received her bachelor’s degree in music education and her master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!) and her Ed.S in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University.
Heather HanlineGRAPHICS/DESIGN DIRECTOR Heather Hanline’s artwork has been exhibited in group exhibitions in galleries throughout Georgia including Brenau University Galleries in Gainesville, North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega and the Averitt Art Center in Statesboro. In addition, her work has been featured in a number of private collections, including the Brenau University Permanent Collection and various personal collections. Ms. Hanline is a skilled, certified educator in the arts with numerous years of experience teaching traditional and alternative photography and graphic design in public high school as well as private lessons.
