Just off of Foys Lake Rd. Herron Park is open for biking, hiking, equestrian activities and more.

Herron Park & Foys Community Forest

Just off of HWY 93 in Lakeside. Blacktail Mountain is open for Biking, Hiking, and Horseback riding through the Summer.

What We're Up To

We continue to expand our education and outreach efforts, with a focus on forest stewardship and responsible recreation. Thanks to strong partnerships with local landowners, we’ve secured long-term public access to the trail corridor connecting Herron Park to the forest lands near Blacktail Mountain. The Foys to Blacktail Trail was completed in August 2017, with signage installed in summer 2018. As always, please respect private land by staying on designated trails and roads.
