<ad2file.apm> 44,102 bytes AD2FILE is a tool written by Ron Clarke for use by APM developers. By using this 'tool' with your APM, you can give users the option of adding (links, information) to an existing Arachne file. (TXT, HTM, AH, etc..) For example.... ad2file is used in tabs.apm to offer the option to add a link, at the top of the existing utils.htm file, to the Arachne tabbed browsing system (also written by Ron Clarke).

It will find the links to the following types of media: ASX, AVI, FLV, MID, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPEG, OGG, OGV, QT, RAM, RM, WMA, WMV, WEB, and YouTube movies. It will also show links to ASPX, HTM/HTML, PHP, STM and XML pages. And links to .EXE & .COM executable files. along with mms:// and rtsp:// URLs

<netdos.apm> 869 bytes This APM will enable the NetDos functions in Arachne which will allow you to run programs with these filename extensions (filename.netdos-com filename.netdos-exe), when downloaded from a 'trusted' site that is listed in your security.cfg file located in the Arachne_main dir.

<nnews.zip> 117873 bytes This is a very early implementation of NNTP in Arachne. At last.... read (no sending yet) news groups (NNTP) with Arachne.

<noid.apm> 115656 bytes Ron Clarke wrote this utility to extract the media URL from abc.net.au web pages, and other domains with similar page code. NOID will examine the webpage code and harvest the media URL(s). The "live" URL(s) will then be displayed by Arachne. Be aware, videos from some domains may have a resolution of 1280x760 which may be unplayable on older equipment. If this is a problem, then FFMPEG may be used to resize videos to 640x380 resolution.
