Type P58A patrol craft built in China for the Maritime Security Agency. First two arrived in Karachi at the end of January 1990, second pair in August 1990. Some of this class are in service with Chinese paramilitary forces.

The keel of PMSS BARKAT was laid on 21 October 1988 in Haungpu Shipyard, China and was commissioned on 29 December 1989, being the first in series of BARKAT class ships. PMSS BARKAT sailed from Haungpu on 8 Jan 1990 and arrived Karachi on 29 January 1990. Subsequently, she was formally inducted in Maritime Security Agency surface fleet on 4 February 1990. Since then the ship is actively and efficiently operating at high seas as an important unit of OSRON-22 Squadron.

PMSS VEHDAT was built in 1989 at Huangpu Shipyard, China and commissioned as PMSS VEHDAT on 13 June 1990. Since then the ship is actively operating at high seas as an important unit of OSRON-22 Squadron. She effectively participated in various Search and Rescue, Anti-Terrorist, Anti Narcotics, Anti Smuggling, Fishery Protection Operations and in several Relief Operations. PMMS NUSRAT was built in Dec 1989 at Huangpu Shipyard, China and commissioned as PMSS NUSRAT on 13 June 1990. Since then the ship is actively operating and serving PMSA.

The keel of PMSS REHMAT was laid on 21 October 1988 in Huangpu Shipyard, China and commissioned as PMSS REHMAT on 29 December 1989. The Ship was formally inducted in Maritime Security Agency surface fleet on 4th February 1990. Since then the ship has participated actively and efficiently in a various Search and Rescue and Fishery protection operations and other operations related to surveillance and policing activities within EEZ of Pakistan as a leading unit of OSRON-22 Squadron.
