Russian defense industry proposed to the Ministry of Defense a streamlined version of a missile defense system, which will cover the entirety of Russia with a missile defense dome. This was announced 07 June 2017 by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. "Interagency Working Group to establish the technical basis for the aerospace defense Russia has stated that industry and military science could provide the Ministry of Defense with a streamlined version of operational recovery missile shield of our country, including ground and space echelon, and that with the completion of the deployment the Unified Russian space system will be a closed antimissile dome", - he said.
