Honoring Indigenous history and communities on campus

November marks Native American and Indigenous Heritage Month, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences recently had the privilege of sitting down with Gabrielle Tayac, associate professor of history, to discuss Indigenous history in Virginia and how to connect with and learn more about George Mason's vibrant Indigenous community. Charles Chavis Jr., a professor at George Mason University and founder of the John Mitchell, Jr. Program for History, Justice, and Race, will be honored at the Anti-Defamation League’s In Concert Against Hate.
