The first Sunday of each month, we are collecting food for distribution at Crossroads Main in Detroit.
Our next Sunday collection is Sunday, November 2.

What to donate? Please consider bringing non-perishable food and toiletries to the First Sunday collection. Some suggestions for your consideration:

1. Many people donate Kraft Mac and Cheese in the box. They can rarely use it because it needs milk and butter which is hard to get from regular food banks.
2. Boxed milk is a treasure.
3. They may not be able to eat all the awesome canned vegetables and soup unless you include a can opener or buy pop tops.
4. Oil is a luxury but neede for Rice-a-Roni which is also a favorite donation.
5. Spices or salt and pepper are appreciated.
6. Tea bags and coffee are sometimes a luxury (especially since the tariffs).
7. Sugar and flour are appreciated.
8. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch
9. A lot of peanut butter and jelly are donated but not as much sandwich bread.
10. Cake mix and frosting can make a birthday cake!
11. Dishwashing detergent is very expensive and very appreciated.
12. Feminine products are very, very appreciated.
