Grand Philharmonic Choir (original) (raw)
“When you paint your town, you paint the world.”
Watch this warm, revealing conversation between our artistic director, Mark Vuorinen, and Argentinian composer Martín Palmeri, who wrote Misatango (Misa a Buenos Aires).
Palmeri talks about his relationship with tango music, the challenges of integrating it with the text of the Latin Mass, and his love of Italian Renaissance choral music.
His Misatango has been performed all over the world. And you can experience it on Saturday March 7th, with choir, soprano soloist, bandoneon and other instruments!
