Primary School - Greystones Community National School (original) (raw)

Our journey began in September 2015 with just 20 Junior Infants, one teacher, and a rented classroom. Nine years on, Greystones CNS has grown into a thriving school community of over 400 pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class. In September 2021 we moved into our permanent school building in Charlesland, Greystones — a bright, modern space where our children can learn, play and flourish.

As a Community National School, we are child-centred, inclusive and multidenominational. We believe every child should feel safe, valued and inspired to reach their full potential. Under the patronage of Kildare and Wicklow ETB, we are proud to provide high-quality education that reflects and celebrates the diversity of our community.

We follow the Primary School Curriculum as set out by the Department of Education, and place a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, creativity and wellbeing. In 2019, our Department inspection rated the quality of our teaching and learning as “very good” in all areas — the highest possible rating.

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope it gives you a real sense of the welcoming, dynamic and caring school community we have built here in Greystones.

— Paul Molamphy, Principal
