ESC Gaming have defeated SK Gaming to win WCG 2011 after a 2-1 victory in the final. Poland will now be crowned as three time WCG champions in Counter-Strike 1.6 and take home the cheque for $25,000.

The first map of the final saw the teams face off on de_dust2 with SK Gaming starting as Terrorists. SK made the most of the advantaged side and raced out to an 8-0 lead. ESC managed to claw back and win some crucial rounds to bring the score to 9-6 at the half. SK won the pistol and the following save rounds after the break to extend their lead to 12-6 after eighteen rounds. As we saw in the first half, ESC Gaming regained their composure and set about taking rounds and forcing save rounds out of SK. ESC restricted SK Gaming to no more rounds from that point on and won the first map 16-12.

After the players had setup on stage, the map was changed to de_train. This time ESC Gaming would start on the favoured Counter-terrorist side. SK managed to win a very close pistol round and used this moment to go on a massive streak winning the first half 13-2. The second half started quickly and SK picked up where they left off and ended all hopes for ESC come back. SK won the second map 16-5.

Coming off a great second map win, SK Gaming went into de_tuscan full of confidence and momentum. After nine rounds, SK had a nice lead of 6-3. ESC managed to hit back, but still managed to go into the half 7-8 down to SK Gaming. In the second half both teams gave it everything they have, exchanging round for round. The match came down to the final round with ESC Gaming dealing the final blow winning the match and event 16-14.
