Moscow Five releases CS team (original) (raw)

Moscow Five today announced that the Counter-Strike 1.6 team has been released from the organization, effective immediately.

The announcement came via the organization's website, stating that the team which was the stepping-stone to what later became an organization had been let go.

The Russian CS team was back in February of 2011 transfered from Meet Your Makers to Moscow Five, with the Russian organization announcing the coming to eSports was with huge plans.

The move to release the team comes as Moscow Five evaluated the future, where it has concluded that the game didn't have enough future events to keep the team.

Russia Roman "ROMJkE" Makarov
Russia Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov
Russia Sergey "Fox" Stolyarov
Russia Roman "hacker" Abramov

While under the M5 tag the CS team secured wins at MSI Beat IT Russia 2011, ASUS Final Battle of the Year 2011, ASUS Winter 2011, as well as a third place finishes at WCG 2011 and IEM6 GC Kiev.

In an interview on the M5 website, Eduard "ed1k" Ivanov stated he might consider coming back, to play if Valve decides to host a "The International" for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
