The Better Off Ted actress will star as the title character in the ABC comedy pilot The Smart One, about a brilliant and successful woman (de Rossi) who begrudgingly goes to work for her less-brainy but more popular sister — a former beauty queen, weather girl and now big-city mayor (played by Malin Akerman). Jean Smart and David Arquette co-star.


Moore co-stars in ABC's untitled single-camera comedy pilot as Annie who with her new husband, Ben, gets the opportunity of a lifetime to run a hip new restaurant in Annie's hometown, bringing her closer to her needy and high-maintenance family. Stockard Channing co-stars.


The former Lost star would return to the network should ABC pick up drama pilot 666 Park Ave. to series. The project, based on the book by Gabriella Pierce, revolves around a young couple who accept an offer to manage a historic New York apartment building as they begin to experience supernatural occurrences. Vanessa Williams, Rachael Taylor and Dave Annabele co-star.


The former Torchwood star headlines ABC's Gilded Lilys, a period drama revolving around the opening of the first luxury hotel in New York in 1895 and the intermingling of love, treachery and disdain between the classes set against a backdrop of vicious family rivalries, scandalous secrets and conflict and co-mingling of the classes. Bluthe Danner and Matt Lauria co-star in the project from Grey's Anatomy showrunner Shonda Rhimes.


Former Felicity star Scott Speedman returns to the small screen in Shawn Ryan's drama project, Last Resort. Andre Braugher co-stars in the ABC pilot about the crew of a U.S. nuclear sub who, after ignoring an order to fire nuclear missiles, wind up being hunted and escape to a NATO outpost where they declare themselves to be the world's smallest nuclear nation.


The former Friday Night Lights star heads from FX's American Horror Story to ABC's family soap, Nashville. Britton will star in the pilot as an aging star at her peak who is paired with a rising star (Hayden Panettiere) as she makes a bid to revive her career. Thelma & Louise scribe Callie Khouri penned the pilot.


Martin Lawrence stars as a widowed father of two teenagers who, after losing his job in construction, decides to enroll in the police academy and become a cop at the age of 46 in the CBS multicamera comedy pilot.


Lucy Liu will take on Sherlock Holmes' right-hand man, Watson, in CBS' drama pilot adaptation, Elementary, opposite Jonny Lee Miller. She becomes the latest in a long line of actors to take on the Watson role, following Jude Law, Nigel Bruce, Roland Young, Reginald Owen, Ben Kingsley, Arthur Lowe, Dudley Moore, James Mason, Robert Duvall, Martin Freeman and Ian Hart, among others.


Mira Sorvino will star in CBS' drama pilot, Trooper, playing a common sense mother turned New York State trooper in the project executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Should the project be ordered to series, it would mark Sorvino's first regular network TV role after starring in the 1995 mini The Buccaneers and 1992's syndicated drama Swans Crossing.


Dennis Quaid would make his first foray into television should CBS pick up its untitled Ralph Lamb Western pilot. In the period drama, which is based on the life of the rodeo cowboy-turned-longtime sheriff in Las Vegas, Quaid would play Lamb and star opposite Michael Chiklis as a Chicago mob fixer. Both will executive produce the potential series, which hails from Greg Walker (Without a Trace) and Nicholas Pileggi (GoodFellas).


Beals could transition from the chief of police on Fox's short-lived The Chicago Code to the widow of a former cop on CBS' Widow Detective. The project, which stars John Corbett as the title character, revolves around a decorated police detective who becomes a surrogate husband, lover and father to the families of three partners lost in the line of duty in the project from CSI's Carol Mendelsohn.


After Nick (Bent's David Walton) has a health scare, he realizes that his best friend of 15 years, Wendy (played by _Better With You'_s Garcia Swisher) is "the one" and must now figure out how to break the news to her. Greg Malins and Greg Berlanti will write and executive produce the CBS comedy pilot.


Former Kick-Ass co-star Christopher Mintz-Plasse turns to the small screen in CBS' comedy pilot Friend Me, about twentysomething best friends Evan and Rob, who move from their hometown of Bloomington, Ind., to L.A. to begin their new lives working at Groupon.


Pullman will play the president of the United States for the second time in his career in NBC's comedy pilot 1600 Penn, a single-camera project centering on a dysfunctional family that just happens to live at the most famous address in America. Jenna Elfman and Josh Gad co-star.


The former on-screen couple will reunite for NBC's comedy pilot, Downwardly Mobile, in which Barr will play the proprietor of a mobile home who serves as a surrogate mother to those who live there during the challenging economic times. Goodman will play one of the guys who works at the park.


The former Monk star returns to the small screen in NBC's single-camera comedy pilot Friday Night Dinner, playing the father of a traditional Jewish family in the project from The Office's Greg Daniels.


The former Friends star returns to NBC in Go On, a comedy revolving around an irreverent yet charming sportscaster who tries to move on from loss and finds solace witht he members of his mandatory group therapy sessions. Laura Benati and Julie White co-star in the project from former Friends EP Scott Silveri.


McEntire is attached to executive produce and star as a woman who ditches her cheating husband and moves from Nashville to Malibu in a bid to rebuild her life in ABC's drama pilot Malibu Country.


In NBC's Next Caller Please, Cook would make his series TV debut as Cam Doherty, a brash alpha male DJ who doesn't like that his satellite radio station co-host is a woman. Weeds producer Stephen Falk will write and executive produce the project.


In NBC's Susan 313, Silverman plays a woman readjusting to live following the demise of her decade-long live-in relationship that's loosely based on Silverman's life.


The former Cosby Show star would have her first series regular role since 2000 should NBC's Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde drama pilot Do No Harm earn a series pickup. In the project, which stars Steven Pasquale as a neurosurgeon who wrestles with his dangerous alter-ego, Rashad will play the chief of surgery and the dangerous doc's boss.


Becki Newton is reteaming with How I Met Your Mother bosses Carter Bays and Craig Thomas for their Fox comedy, Goodwin Games. The half-hour comedy projet revolves around three siblings who reconnect after the death of their father. Scott Foley co-stars.


After wrapping his turn as a good guy agent on NBC's Chuck, Levi will star in an ensemble comedy for Fox about a married couple, his best friend and her sister as they navigate society's unspoken rules.


John Stamos heads from Glee to another Fox project, Mike Royce (Men of a Certain Age) single-camera pilot Little Brother, playing a man who learns he has a half-brother who happens to be an ex-con.


In Fox's Mindy, The Office star plays a young Bridget Jones-type doctor tries to navigate her personal and professional lives. Ed Weeks, Chris Messina and Anna Camp co-star, with guests in the pilot including Ed Helms and Bill Hader.


Gooding is prepping to make his series TV bow with Fox's Guilty, playing William "Billy" Remz, an ethically questionable defense attorney who has been stripped of his license to practice law after being falsely convicted of fraud. He uses unorthodox techniques to solve cases he's been banned from handling — and exacts revenge upon those who set him up. Greg Berlanti will write and executive produce.


The West Wing star will play a station chief opposite Ali Larter's CIA filed operative in Fox's spy drama The Asset, from Locke & Key scribe Josh Friedman.


Kevin Bacon will play an FBI agent in Fox's drama pilot from Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries). Should the pilot move forward to series, Bacon has made a commitment of 15 episodes per season instead of the traditional 22. That, however, does not mean that if a pickup is greenlighted, the project would necessarily see a 15-episode first season. James Purefoy and Shawn Ashmore co-star in the project known as Mastermind.


Former Hung co-star Amell will play the hooded superhero made famous in the long-running DC Comics series in the CW's take, Arrow. Amell becomes the latest actor to play the part on the network, with Justin Hartley playing the character on the CW's Smallville.


AnnaSophia Robb will play a young Carrie Bradshaw as she learns to navigate life and love in the CW's 1980s pilot based on the books by Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell.


Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk returns to the CW with a starring role in network’s Beauty and the Beast. The project, loosely based on the 1980s CBS series of the same name, is a modern-day romantic love story with a procedural twist.?? Jay Ryan and Austin Basis co-star.


Former Party of Five and V star Wolf will play a mysterious stranger in the CW's Joey Dakota, based on the Israeli format Danny Hollywood. In the romantic-time-travel-musical, a documentary filmmaker travels back in time to the 1990s where she meets and falls in love with the rock star subject of her film. When she unexpectedly returns to the present day, she must find her way back to the past to reunite with her love and prevent his untimely death.


In Cult, an inquisitive young female production assistant on a wildly popular television show joins a journalist blogger — The Vampire Diaries' Davis — in investigating the show's rabid fans. Together, the duo finds the fans might be re-creating crime scenes from the show in their real lives — behavior that has lead to a rash of disappearances and a likely murder. Should Cult be picked up to series, Davis could still return to the network's supernatural series.


The Good Wife recurring guest will topline First Cut, the CW's drama pilot about a newly minted doctor who, excited to leave her nerdy past behind for a fresh start in the adult professional world, learns that life at the hospital where she works is no different than high school.


Former Friday Night Lights co-star Teegarden will lead the CW's _Hunger Games_-esque drama The Selection, an epic romance set 300 years in the future which revolves around on a poor young woman who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads. Ethan Peck and Sean Patrick Thomas co-star.
