The BBC broadcast four series of the comedy Blackadder (Click here for the BBC pages), with Howard Goodall commissioned to write the title music for the first series – broadcast in 1983 – and subsequently to adapt it for the later generations of the Blackadder dynasty. As well as the four series there were a number of special shows – including Blackadder Back and Forth which was shown in the Millennium Dome in 2000.
