About IAPH

The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Over the past six decades, IAPH has developed into a global alliance of ports, representing today some 190 ports and 165 port-related businesses in 89 countries as of 6 December 2024.
IAPH leads global port industry initiatives on decarbonization and energy transition, risk and resilience management, and accelerating digitalization in the maritime transport chain. IAPH aims to be the global trade association of choice for port authorities and operators, representing their interests at the regulatory level at the International Maritime Organization, the World Customs Organization, the International Standards Organization, and other global alliances such as the Global Maritime Forum and the World Economic Forum.
