Sammy readies PlayStation-based arcade sequel to fighting game powerhouse Guilty Gear.

Given the smash-up Japanese success of Team Neo Blood's frantic 2D fighter Guilty Gear, a sequel to the game was all but a given ¿ but who would've thought that it would appear in the arcades first?

Due to be unveiled at this week's AOU exhibition at Tokyo's Makuhari Messe, Guilty Gear 2 is well into development for proprietary PlayStation-based arcade hardware, and will be introduced into Japanese coin-op halls by Sammy. And what about the home version? No one is saying, but word out of the Orient indicates that it'll be on shelves there by year's end.
