The CW Gives Arrow a Full-Season Order - IGN (original) (raw)

It appears the Emerald Archer has hit his mark. The CW has officially picked up Arrow for a full 22-episode season, as first revealed by Oliver Queen himself, Stephen Amell (via Twitter).Tweeted the actor earlier today, "Best way to start a Monday? Getting picked up for your back nine episodes. Thwick. #Arrow"The DC Comics adaptation was a quick success for The CW, earning 4.02 million total viewers and a demo rating of 1.3 -- the network's best debut since The Vampire Diaries in 2009. In its second week, it held that same rating, which is impressive given most series have a second week drop off.

Still no word on the fate of fellow CW freshmen Beauty and the Beast and Emily Owens, M.D., the latter of which stars former Green Arrow Justin Hartley from Smallville.
