Maria Susanna Michaela Dornonville De La Cour was born August 16, 1961, in Helsingborg, Sweden, to a French father and Swedish mother. After graduating from school Michaela qualified as a teacher and taught at the Adolf-Fredrik music school in Stockholm. She also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles. She joined Army of Lovers in 1992, after La Camilla's leaving. She left the band in 1996. Since her departure from the group, she had an unsuccessful attempt at a solo singing career, releasing the single "Rumours And Lies" in 1997 and the single "S.O.S." in 2000 through Universal Music. She also worked as a model for Playboy and Penthouse. Later she has become a jewelery designer and worked in TV and on stage.
