Review

I caught this on TV one day so decided to buy series 2 on dvd. Big mistake.

About 98% of each episode is Sandra and Beryl arguing with each other like a couple of senile old ladies, insulting eachother and generally just being unpleasant. It got tiresome to watch after about 5 minutes.

They never stop.

Much of the dialogue between them is almost nonsensical. Far too many outrageous sex jokes, they're made out to be hippies with a new boyfriend every week, but on reality the actress who played Sandra was happily married.

The 1970s fashion is interesting, and girls mothers were amusing to watch, but when supporting characters are more interesting than the main cast, that's not a good thing.

Series 3 changed writers and just became a circus. Best left on the 1970s.
