Review

One of the better soviet detectives with the elements of a political thriller, drama and action. The plot is solid, the film well directed, the acting is quite good. There are many characters and sometimes the motives and actions of some of them are not convincing, but nevertheless the story remains decent with interesting twists and turns. Many intereresting artifacts of the soviet era make it a nostalgic viewing: parties, methods of vhs deliveries and exchanges, adult magazins etc... Deserves being watched and giving a high ranking.
