Charles and Peter have been best friends since school, through the army, right up until present day, whilst chatting away one night, Peter drops a bombshell, and their friendship looks set to come to an end.
I think this is perhaps my favourite of the series, it's absolutely wonderful, the laughs, the scenario, the quips, the routines, everything about this is on point.
That line where they discuss people's perception of them, pinky and perky, absolutely hilarious, so funny, it's a great moment, of course something they'd never get away with now.
Two superb performances from Charles Gray and Freddie Jones, I'd associate the pair more so with straight drama than comedy, but both were terrific actors, comedy came very naturally to them.
Watch out for two well known faces, Nicholas Courtney and John Harvey, Doctor Who fans would know both well.
A shame a series didn't come from this, it's a real classic.
9/10.
