Review

A beautiful woman has a sexual encounter with a cop at the beginning of the episode. After they are finished she immediately ages to the point of total decomposition. A doctor is brought into this along with a forensic specialist. We are informed that her mother has Alzheimer's and doesn't even recognize her. When she goes to see her mother, she encounters a friend of her mother's, also infirm, who talks about going "into the light." Her mother uses the same expression but because she sees the daughter as an intruder, she won't say what "the light" is. Another ancient body is found in the woods and this sets off a huge effort to discover what is going on. The acting is quite good, including Mel Harris who starred on the show "Thirty- something" back in the day. I can't say much more other than that reason for all this is just a bit more than we are prepared for.
