When those who produce the Itchy and Scratchy show realize it has gotten a bit long in the tooth, they try a new character. Poochie lays an egg and the show becomes terribly dull. Also, Homer is the voice of Poochie. This is different from some other episodes as Homer becomes a proactive employee. Of course, things aren't ever going to work out.
