Review

Couch gag rating: 9/10 This was a very cute opener for The Simpsons. I especially like the ending with the log used as the couch.

The episode: Carl gets promoted to supervisor at work and Homer becomes his executive assistant. 100-hour workweeks commence. Meanwhile, Marge's sexuality is revitalized by the positive response to her pictures in a pin-up calendar. Homer is too tired from the excessive demands of Carl to meet her renewed affection with the same zeal.

Favorite moment(s): Milhouse's eyebrows.

Essentially we've been here before with this episode. Marge's faithfulness is tested as Homer can't give her what she needs. The Ned connection has been made before in episodes like 'A Streetcar Named Marge' and done better at that.

Overall rating: 7/10 Paris makes the perfect location for Homer's sadness/strangeness and I wish that had been explored more. Plenty of jokes here at the expense of France, their president and his former model wife. They were a hit in France.
