Boyzone are reportedly in talks to record a new album and and embark on a tour in 2018.

The comeback will mark the boyband's 25th anniversary.

According to reports in The Sun, the band are keen to do a West End show, as well as release a new album and tell-all book for their reunion.

"Boyzone's comeback is well and truly on for 2018," a source told the newspaper. "It will be 25 years since they first started out so the lads want to do something extra special."

"Talks have been going on for a while and there are a number of ideas in the works," they added.

The band got together in 1993 and after a break-up, reunited in 2013 for a 20th anniversary celebration tour.

Since then, Keith Duffy has joined forced with former Westlife member Brian McFadden to form Boyzlife, a two-person 'supergroup'.

But a proper Boyzone reunion has been looming on the cards for a while.

Last year Ronan Keating admitted that he sometimes misses his former bandmates and hinted at a comeback tour.

"I miss the lads at times, definitely," he said, adding: "Next year marks our 25 years so we'll do something next year, please God."

Pushed for details, Keating said: "We're not really sure yet. I mean, we're looking at different ideas whether it's an album or a tour, or what it's going to be, but we'll definitely mark it somehow and it'll be a Boyzone extravaganza as per usual."
