Dytrt is the daughter of Czech immigrants and was raised in Germany. She skated for the Czech Republic in 1998 and 1999 before going back to Germany. She was Czech National Champion 1999 and won the 2003 French National Championships, which she entered as a guest. Dytrt's sister Veronika (three years older) also skated at the international level, representing Germany and the Czech Republic. In spring 2006, Dytrt switched to pair skating and trained with Norman Jeschke, but their partnership didn't work out and she eventually returned to single skating end of 2006. She switched coaches after the 2007/08 season.
