Kenyatta Hill is one of the fastest rising stars in the world of Reggae music. He is the son of legendary vocalist Joseph Hill of the group Culture. Kenyatta, who was the audio engineer for Culture, began his singing career when his father collapsed suddenly during a concert tour in 2006 and died . The son stepped in and completed the 19 tour dates to the amazement of everyone. As was evident in Chicago at the Old Town School concert on March 24, 2010, Kenyatta delivered a spectacular performance. In a departure from working with Culture, for this tour he was ably backed the midwest Reggae band, Yard Squad. They performed an opening set that energized the house even before Kenyatta stepped on stage. As is often the case, the concert veered into a near dance party. The energy onstage defied the audience to stay in their seats.... a great time!!
