Winsome Constance Kindness (original) (raw)
Venture Capital for Good Causes
Philip Wollen OAM is an Australian philanthropist, environmentalist, Animal Rights activist and former Vice President of Citibank.
Beginning in 1988, his private mission was to make “Kindness” a recognizable trait in the human character and culture.
Discreetly, he built his “Kindness” initiative under the banner “Winsome Constance” named after his mother and grandmother. This "nom de guerre" enabled him to effectively operate with anonymity for many years.
We concentrate on projects that cover “The Five Fingers”.
- Children
- Animals
- The environment
- The terminally ill
- Aspiring youth
We are a “Clearing House” for Mission Critical Solutions. Bringing together:
- Good Causes with Good Ideas.
- Good intentions with Good Actions.
- Powerful People with Powerless souls.
- The coal face of cruelty and the kind face of Compassionate Capital.
- The “Cash Rich and Time Poor” with Cash Poor who have little time left.
We provide support in the form of financial grants, awards, facilities, and advice in many countries.
We do not accept donations.
- Do not send us money. If you do want to help (and we hope you will), please donate directly to the groups we have already supported.
- Based on past experience, we believe that you will enjoy developing ongoing relationships and friendships with these groups - quite independently of us.
We don’t accept applications for grants.
- All our grants to deserving groups are unsolicited.
- Our global network is extensive.
- We conduct our own Due Diligence independently.
- However, we are prepared to receive information for our extensive database from effective groups describing their work.
A call to action.
We encourage caring people to:
- Become “Venture Capitalists for Good Causes” by supporting good pro-activist groups who are doing the hard work in the field, out of sight and out of mind.
- Deploy their physical, financial, moral, intellectual and networking resources to support ethical projects that deliver meaningful “bang for their buck”.
- Save lives, reduce hunger, alleviate suffering, comfort the lonely and oppressed, protect the environment and stimulate action.
- Go Vegan.
- Adopt an “Ahimsan” way of Life, non-violence to any living being.
- Focus attention on the protection and care of all sentient beings.
- Pay particular attention to the existential risks and challenges in:
- Food and Water Security, Climate Change, civil and cross-border wars, Social Justice, Human Health, Plastic contamination of our land, water and food systems, protecting old growth forests, flora and fauna while ending the pollution to the atmosphere, the land, rivers, and oceans.
