The Christopher Columbus Philatelic Society - Sociedad Filatelica Colombina was founded 12 October 1982 as a not-for-profit, educational organization for the study of philatelic and allied material related to the life and voyages of Christopher Columbus and includes those around him and the World Columbian Exposition of 1893. The Society will close down on 12 October 2016.
