Rinkeby (original) (raw)

Rinkeby (Tub3, line 10)

Opened on 31 August 1975.

Rinkeby is a three-track station. Track 2 is the track normally used for northbound service. Track 3 is not normally used for revenue service. Track 4 is the track normally used for southbound service. (There is no track 1.) Train movements are possible (without wrong-railing) from Rissne yard to tracks 2 and 3, and from tracks 3 and 4 to the yard.

Rinkeby, artwork on platform wall

(23 September 2002)
This artwork, like much of the artwork at Rinkeby, reflects various kinds of finds from Swedish history and even prehistory. This is one of several works executed in gold leaf. The lettering is runes, a form of writing used in Sweden about a thousand years ago.
