We have moved to Abbey Park

In 2022 Leicester Pride moved to Abbey Park where the layout is better suited to multiple attractions.

The event site has grown in size. There are now two entrances to the site from Charter Street and St Margaret’s Pastures. There will be a free bus service running throughout the day from The Rainbow & Dove bar.

The parade route has changed

The new parade route is longer and passes through more areas of the city center. The parade begins outside The Curve Theatre at 12 noon but takes a different route through The Lanes, Jubilee Square and along High Street before proceeding to Abbey Park.

The total distance is 1.7 miles, the previous route was 1.6 miles.

Other recent changes

• The event finishes at 9pm
• 20 meter main stage
• 1000 capacity dance arena
• We have lots of toilets
• There are multiple bars

Important rules to remember

• Alcohol cannot be consumed on the parade
• Glass, alcohol, drugs and sharps cannot be brought on site
• Bag searches will be carried out on entry
• We will be operating Challenge 25 across all bars
