Our first official fundraising event will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at Spark (Wood Fire Cooking) Restaurant, located at 9575 W. Pico Blvd. sloanemeister has been in contact with Elizabeth Chait, a Robotics parent and owner of the restaurant, and has planned this fundraising dinner.
We are going to send out a mailer to the members of the robotics team, the PTAs, the district, school/faculty/staff, as well as members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills. We are planning to have a short presentation (probably PowerPoint) about MORTORQ and FIRST Robotics. The cost is $35 a head (probably paid at the restaurant) - we will raise about
$15 per person. Please encourage your parents to attend - we are always in need of funds for transportation costs and robot parts.

Hello Beverly Hills High School parents, teachers, administrators, board members, and community,
We the members of the Beverly Hills High School Robotics team, Team Mortorq, cordially invite you to attend our first fundraising event. We are fundraising for tools, registration fees, travel costs, and for the competition. This is our first year competing in FIRST Robotics.
FIRST Robotics is a multinational competition that brings professionals and students together to create and solve engineering, design, animation, and business problems under a deadline of six weeks. In the past, the competition has had over 900 participating teams. This is our first year. We are extremely excited!
The fundraising event is planned for Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Spark Woodfire Grill located at 9575 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles 90035. We would ask that you arrive between 6:30-7:00 in the evening. Around 7:30, there will be a short presentation. The cost is 35perperson,andweaskforaminimumdonationof35 per person, and we ask for a minimum donation of 35perperson,andweaskforaminimumdonationof15 per couple. Part of the $35 is going towards the Robotics team.

inside please state your name and how many will be attending.
You will be paying at the restaurant.

Today I contacted Elizabeth Chait and planned the fundraising dinner that has been in a pending decision for the past few months. It is a dinner at Spark restaurant located at 9575 W. Pico Boulevard. The cost is 50ahead(forstudentsandadults)andthatincludesdrinks,dinneroffofthemenu,anddessert.Thetimeisnotyetdecided.Theeventisstillbeingplanned,butnone−the−lesspleasesavethedate.Wewillbemakingaprofitofroughly50 a head (for students and adults) and that includes drinks, dinner off of the menu, and dessert. The time is not yet decided. The event is still being planned, but none-the-less please save the date. We will be making a profit of roughly 50ahead(forstudentsandadults)andthatincludesdrinks,dinneroffofthemenu,anddessert.Thetimeisnotyetdecided.Theeventisstillbeingplanned,butnone−the−lesspleasesavethedate.Wewillbemakingaprofitofroughly35 per person.
