Andrea Vicari (Bmus PGCE) is a Senior Lecturer at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, one of the world’s leading music conservatoires. Andrea has many years experience teaching piano to all ages and levels from pre-school children to post-graduate degree candidates. She is also founder and musical director of the Dordogne International Jazz Summer School. As a performing artist and composer Andrea Vicari has five albums under her own name and two records with multi-national project ‘Jazz Extempore’. She has recently released an album of original songs with vocalist Trudy Kerr called ‘The House’. Andrea has worked with US legends Eddie Harris and Art Farmer; and composed musicals ‘The Austerity Playbook’ and ‘Chet Baker Speedball’. As a broadcaster Andrea presents ‘Jazz Doodles’ on www.jazzlondonradio.com and has interviewed leading jazz artists including John Taylor; Hiromi; John Abercrombie, Marc Copeland, Omar Puente; Joe Stilgoe, Ian Shaw etc.
