Robert A. Beezer received a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1984. He then joined the faculty of the University of Puget Sound, where he is now a Professor of Mathematics. He regularly teaches calculus, linear algebra, abstract algebra and cryptology. Several of his sixteen research and expository articles apply linear algebra to the study of graph theory. He recently taught a linear algebra course at the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
