History: (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Fantastic Four 2005 - Inhumans entry – BTS) – Thousands of years ago, in the city of Attilan, Gral, who was non-human-looking, became the king.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#5 - Inhumans entry - BTS) - Frustrated with the policies that only allowed Inhumans who had been genetically tested to receive the process of Terrigenesis and frustrated with the discrimination against non-human-looking beings, Gral implemented a "reign of terror" during which he forced all Inhumans to Terrigenate, resulting in around 2/3rds of the populace altering to non-human forms, which would impact the Inhuman genetic line for generations.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Deluxe Edition I#6 - Inhumans entry - BTS) - During Gral's reign, it was also discovered that multiple exposures to the Terrigen Mists would further the extent of the mutations.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#5 - Inhumans entry - BTS) - The Inhumans began dividing into "Mutation Camps," forcing certain types of mutations to live together among their own phenotypes. In time, Gral was deposed and Auron became the new king of the people, helping them to accept the diversity among them.
(Guardians of the Galaxy I#27 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, an Inhuman ailement was named after Gral and it was discovered that Gral's Disease was non-fatal if caught early.
(Guardians of the Galaxy I#27 - BTS) - When Earth-691 native Talon, an inhuman from his reality's year 3100 who was trapped on present day Earth-616, came down with Gral's Disease, he had his Earth-691 Guardians of the Galaxy teammates rush him to Earth-616's Attilan on the moon for help. There, Talon was treated in the Randac Medical Center, where it was revealed to Talon that Gral's Disease was not fatal if caught in time.
