Square Enix will release Final Fantasy One and Two for the PSP across Europe on February 8th, along with updated visuals and new content.
Both titles will feature improved graphics and character art, new dungeons, new camera views and 16:9 widescreen support.
Originally released in the eighties, the initial steps in what is now one of the longest running series in video game history sees four crystal wielding warriors attempting to restore the world’s elemental balance in Final Fantasy One, and an evil emperor hell-bent on taking over the world by summoning an army of demons in Final Fantasy Two.
"Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy Two represent the foundations of the Square Enix success story,” said John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix. They are the first two imaginative steps in the long and distinguished history of the Final Fantasy franchise. With these beautiful new versions, fans can now experience the origins of Final Fantasy wherever they go.”
