No other game has ever lived up to six years of hype and then left gamers so glued to their PCs that 24 hours later.

It's solid and requires, thanks to the variety and great AI of the enemy you meet throughout, more than a modicum of strategic thinking to get through with a good selection of interesting weapons on offer.

One of the best game i ever played in my pc. It's been 20 years from now but still it is one of my favourite game.

a revolution of the game industry.this is masterpiece.thanks valve.20 years old

Valve have once again managed to transform a genre, and taken pure gaming pleasure to brand new, unthought of heights. The sheer number of moments you'll be astounded by the graphical touches, by the storyline, by the sheer polished nature of the title, and even the incredible level design is quite astounding.

If you're looking for a game that sucks you right into the screen, this is it. This is your FPS benchmark, this is the game of the year; this game is the beautiful, imaginative, detailed masterpiece of 2004.

The attention to detail is simply staggering and I'm not referring just to City 17. The sky is beautiful, regardless of the time of day, a lot of the surfaces are bump-mapped and I often found myself using the zoom to see just how good the objects looked in the distance.

Half-Life 2 is not perfect. The bizarre decision to include teammates in the way that Valve has, as well as the many and annoying loading times can actually diminish some of the fun factor. That said, this is still a game you don't want to miss.

I think this is probably the worst teammate AI I've seen in an FPS since "Daikatana." It's like every one of your followers are the Redshirt sidekicks from "Star Munchkin."

Best FPS ever, a real revolution for the industry, this game is a real revolution

It's a good game. Well made, and the shooting feels tight. But it ain't really *that* special.

Without nostalgia or the idea that games should be rated for the time they were released in, do I not the masterclass everyone always talked about. It is still worth trying it once, but you can clearly see and feel the game's age.

[SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.]

the game may be revolutionary, but that doesn't mean the game is good idk why but, this game is boring i just walk and shoot all the time like, this game isnt funny dont have humor etc... u just walk and shoot al the time, is basically a cod with a diferent gameplay and old but, i could be wrong, maybe i played too little of the game, tell me if it starts to get good towards the end

Summary [Metacritic's 2004 PC Game of the Year] By taking the suspense, challenge and visceral charge of the original, and adding startling new realism and responsiveness, Half-Life 2 opens the door to a world where the player's presence affects everything around him, from the physical environment to the behaviors -- even the emotions -- of bot...
