Miami Workers Center (original) (raw)
Building power with working-class tenants, workers, women, and families in Miami-Dade County
Celebrate 25 Years of MWC!
October 11-13, 2024
Our 25th Anniversary Homecoming will serve as a gathering of old and new friends, a reunion of past and present members, and a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to building a stronger, more united Miami-Dade County, Florida, and the South.
We have a bold vision for the future of social justice in South Florida.
To fulfill our vision of a Miami where working-class communities of color have the dignity, respect, rights, and resources we all deserve— we are building the Center for People Power.
The Only Safe Community is an Organized Community
Miami Workers Center builds power with working-class tenants, workers, women, and families in Miami-Dade County. Through leadership development and grassroots campaigns, we seek to transform our workplaces and neighborhoods to win the respect, rights, and resources we all deserve.

We Activate

With Miami Workers Center I learned to help other domestic workers like me to fight for what they deserve: good pay, sick days, etc, but the most important is that the jobs that domestic workers do are valuable and please put some respect on our name.

Fighting for the community is my blood, my work and my life’s sacrifice. My community is in need of housing justice and so I am going to continue fighting until we all can have a dignified place to live.
