MANISTEE — He apparently is doing it again. Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore will be in Manistee 11 a.m. Wednesday. He's planning to make an appearance at the Vogue Theater, 383 River Street.
The theater is more than 70 years old, said Tim Ervin of the Alliance for Economic Success in Manistee County. He said that the aging movie house recently was saved from bankruptcy by the Manistee Downtown Development Authority.
Ervin claims that he doesn't know why Moore is appearing at the theater, but the act bears a familiar resemblance to last February when the filmmaker visited Muskegon to assist the financially strapped owners of the Harbor Theater.
