NCTC vs. Hill
NCTC will be holding the annual 8th Grade Career Fair at the Gainesville campus for Cooke County schools! Students will have the opportunity to explore 5 career programs during the day.
A 2-hour Art Fundamentals for Beginners class introduces essential techniques and concepts in drawing and painting, covering basic principles like composition, shading, and color theory, and includes hands-on practice to build foundational skills.
This enrichment course will take place on the NCTC Denton Campus on Wednesday, 10/16/2024, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

A one-time acrylic landscape painting class introduces participants to techniques for capturing natural scenery, focusing on composition, color mixing, and texture application, with personalized instruction to achieve expressive and vibrant landscapes.
This course will take place at the NCTC Gainesville campus on Wednesday, 9/25/2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

In a Sushi 101 class, participants will learn the fundamentals of sushi-making, including selecting and preparing ingredients, mastering the techniques for rolling and shaping sushi, and understanding the cultural significance of this iconic Japanese cuisine.
This course will take place at the NCTC Champions Circle location Tuesday, 9/25/2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

North Central Texas College is pleased to announce that the NCTC Student Success Center has been awarded certification as a Level I, II, and III certified tutor training program by the internationally recognized College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). This certification is effective from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2028.
The Gainesville Kiwanis Club has generously endowed $15,000 to support the Red River Promise program. This program provides high school students from rural communities the opportunity to attend college with comprehensive support services and full tuition coverage for two years.
A big thank you to Blake Wallace and the Gainesville Kiwanis Club for their incredible contribution!

A public hearing on a new proposed tax rate for NCTC in Cooke County will be held on 09/16/24 at 6:00 pm in the NCTC Board Room at 1525 West California St, Gainesville, TX 76240, BLDG 100.

The Texas Emergency Aid Roadmap Grant, funded by the Greater Texas Foundation, is coming to a close while North Central Texas College couldn’t be prouder of the impact the program made on NCTC student’s lives. North Central Texas College and nine other community colleges across the state were awarded this grant to help develop efficient, equitable, and sustainable emergency aid programs to ensure students receive the support they need to persist through financial crises.
