Monday Keynote - Bob Weis, Global Entertainment Leader, Gensler
Bob Weis opened our keynote series with a powerful presentation on "Leveraging the Power of Storytelling in the Places We Create,” presented by IIDA and sponsored by Wall Street Journal. Tuesday Keynote - Yinka Ilori, British-Nigerian Multi-Disciplinary Artist and Designer
In an intimate “fireside chat” style keynote, Ilori discussed how he harnesses diverse mediums of design as a catalyst to tell stories, using creativity as a language to celebrate cultural identities, and the power of design to elevate the individual while unifying the masses. Wednesday Keynote - Ruth E. Carter, Two-Time Academy-Award Winning Costume Designer
2x Academy Award-Winning Costume Designer Ruth E. Carter closed out this year’s lineup of keynotes! Her presentation, “Designing Afrofuturism: The Art of Storytelling through Costume Design,” presented by AIA Chicago, took us on a journey, delving into how the art of storytelling translates in costume design and the building of worlds. Emerging Design: Sensory Experience Lounge
NeoCon, in partnership with Pratt Institute's Creative Xchange, presented a multi sensory installation featuring immersive spaces developed by Pratt students and faculty. The emerging design research was directed by Professor and Object Agency (O|A) founder Jon Otis. The exhibit showcased the collaboration of student designers from multiple disciplines ensuring that the future of design is both celebrated and nurtured.
SANDOW DESIGN GROUP's First NeoCon
After a wildly successful inaugural year, First NeoCon returned for 2024! Hosted by Interior Design, Metropolis, and THE MART, First NeoCon welcomed a select group of 30 talented design professionals to experience NeoCon for the first time. The program offered a comprehensive itinerary led by industry leaders, including editor-led showroom tours and roundtable discussions.

Interior Design's HiP Awards + Party
Interior Design hosted an unforgettable evening at the 11th annual HiP Awards, where Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen recognized excellence and innovation in commercial design at NeoCon. Kicking off the show on Sunday, winning designers and manufacturers received their awards at an exclusive ceremony.
Climate Positive Solutions Gallery, 7th Floor
New this year at NeoCon, the Climate Positive Solutions Gallery showcased low-carbon and carbon-negative materials and related technologies that meet the demands of commercial specification without sacrificing design, durability or budgets.

My Resource Library hosted a NeoCon After Hours party Monday night of the show. Celebration and good times were had by all!
SnapCab: Space to be You
SnapCab’s pod systems empower designers by giving them back control with unlocked designs. Every workspace is unique, and ensuring every inch is optimized is key to effective space use. SnapCab spotlighted the winning design from their “Space To Be You” pod design contest.
Haworth Hospitality
Haworth sponsored the lobby at THE MART again at the 2024 show, designed as a third place, complete with ancillary furnishings that demonstrated the broad range of their portfolio and brands. Inspiration came from the lobby of the new Six Senses hotel in Rome, designed by Patricia Urquiola.
