Just recently the official trailer for season 7 of Game of Thrones was released giving fans an exciting preview of what to expect. In no time, July will be here and GOT fans will be happily neck deep in snow, dragons and sword fighting. There were so many amazing scenes in season 6. But for now, let’s take a quick look back and reminisce about some of the most awesome things that happened…
#1 – (Episode 1) Brienne swears her allegiance to Lady Sansa
The last we saw of Lady Sansa in season 5 was of her and Theon Greyjoy jumping …
Streaming Review: Residue (2015)
Set in a dystopic London, Residue is a three episode mini-series about government cover-ups and supernatural phenomenon which you can catch streaming right now on Netflix. Natalia Tena (the shape-shifter from Harry Potter and also the wildling from Game of Thrones) stars alongside Iwan Rheon, whom you might recognize as the bastard Ramsay Bolton, also of Game of Thrones.
I was initially drawn to Residue after noticing the two actors from GOT and was intrigued to see them play characters who, in this story, are dating and in a serious, non-violent relationship. Ramsay Bolton was not my favorite character …
Best Nerdy Mother’s Day Cards
It’s that time of year again when we show appreciation for that one person in the world who gave us life. If you live in the same city or state as your mom you might be able to take her out or bring her breakfast in bed. But for many of us, we live far away and in lieu of sending flowers (which can be rather pricey), we opt for a personalized Mother’s Day ecard or simple Facebook greeting just to let that special lady in our lives know that we’re thinking of her. Here are some nerdy Mother’s Day greeting …

WARNING: This article is rife with spolers so if you haven’t watched the finale yet, you might want to come back later…. Despite media disinformation warning fans of the contrary, no one needs to riot because Daryl was not killed off of The Walking Dead last night. There was some speculation that because he put his Atlanta house up for sale and was scheduled to appear on the Talking Dead after the finale that he might be the next to go but refreshingly, no major characters saw their end. In fact, it was quite an uplifting episode, by Walking Dead standards…. …

There is a certain amount of uneasiness that the sleepy little town of Alexandria inspires in our main characters. They’ve already given in to their fantasy of a “normal life” when they were back at the prison but all their dreams were effectively blown to bits by the governor. They’re understandably gun-shy. Here are some takeaways from last night’s episode:
Rick making moves on a married woman – It’s been a while for Rick so it’s hard to blame him for giving in to his urges. There’s obvious chemistry there and although he’s breaking standard gentlemanly protocol, this is, after all …

Back in season 2 when Sophia stumbled out of that barn as a walker, it was such a great moment in television. The characters had spent the better part of the season up to that point looking for her and we saw Carol grieving and Daryl searching. There was that awesome scene where Daryl brought back that Cherokee rose for Carol and told the story about the Trail of Tears. Of course, the odds were that Sophia had gotten either eaten or turned, being that she was an unarmed little girl lost in a forest full of walkers. We all knew …

I’m back baby! *smokes his cigar* and just in time to review my “favorite” TV show, The Legend of Korra. As many of you know, we’ve never quite seen eye to eye given the fact I wanted a quality show and LOK responded to my wishes by pounding me into the dirt and kicking my face in over and over via some truly horrendous writing (and animation in early book 2).
Now it’s back again with a third season promising us a true return to form, does the first half of Book 3: Change deliver on this promise or are we …
Blu-ray Review – Legend Of Korra – Book Two: Spirits
Korra is back for a second season as she battles spirits, politics and betrayal. Pretty deep stuff for a Nickelodeon show. Last Airbender got widely popular because of the great storytelling and this new chapter follow its tradition. Instead of a male hero airbender, we have Korra. She’s not as appealing as Aang but she’s feisty and it adds depth. Book two’s title is “Spirits” and while it leads up to the spirit world later down the road, the main theme is family. There’s foreshadowing going on and not everything is explained from the get go. I like the show because …
Transformers Animated: The Complete Series; DVD Review!

New on DVD from SHOUT! Factory and Hasbro is Transformers Animated: The Complete Series. Spanning 6 DVD’s holding 42 episodes of what I feel is the best version of Transformers lore since the original 80’s cartoon.
Transformers Animated has taken a lot of flak for being cartoony and almost childish—the exclusion of guns over melee and other gripes here and there. What people are missing is the beautiful HAND DRAWN artwork and animation, the interesting story that unfolds throughout the entire series and seeing their favorite characters depicted in a more unconventional way.
The stand out episode comes from Season …
