It’s a jam-packed month for Masters of the Universe Classics as October finds a way to be terrifying yet smelling so sweet. Let’s get into it!
Up first is a two pack that I will not be opening. There are many reasons for that, mostly because I have a lot to say about Perfuma. Terror Claws Skeletor and Flying Fists He-Man come packed in the same two pack box set that other MOTUC releases have had before. Visually it is a very nice two pack.
Flying Fists He-Man is the weaker of the two for me. The armor and face sculpt …
Custom Catra!

Sometimes you just have to go for it, you have to take something that you want to make better and get risky by applying paint, or trying your hand at sculpting; maybe even sew something up to enhance the piece to your liking…
My first customized action figure (since I was a kid). I chose Catra from the Masters of the Universe Classics line. Now, Catra was nice to begin with, sculpted in the form of the 80’s Filmation cartoon character from She-Ra, Princess of Power. However, I really wasn’t happy deep down inside; so what to do? I’ve always been …

In this, my final review of Masters of the Universe Classics—to be taken over in 2013 by Miss M—I am offering up a great pictorial of three very cool figures.
Buzz-Off is a very nice surprise that I received for “free”—he was “free” because subscription holders were given a payoff for Frosta having reversed forearms. Others have received Mer-Man or Stratos and apparently others here and there. I’m quite happy with getting Buzz-Off because I don’t have him at all—now I do.
So, let’s begin with Buzz-Off!
This Bee-Man comes packaged in the usual bubble and card—mine was thrown together quite …

It’s the coming of winter and my present to myself is the snowy Temple of Darkness Sorceress! No, she isn’t covered in the cold white stuff; however she is pretty damn cool! OK, stop groaning!
Temple of Darkness Sorceress comes straight out of the mini comic to collector’s shelves sporting the all white outfit from the mini comic of the same name.
“White” Sorceress comes packaged in the usual card.
…and on the back of the box is the usual “also available” and a bio which is OK.
The side panel of the package has some info, but if you already …

Paladin here, welcome to another thrilling episode of Masters of the Universe Classics! This month features two pretty cool characters and a selection of great photos and commentary. Joining me once again this month is Miss M who will be taking over MOTUC in 2013. So, let’s get on with it, starting with Dekker!
The 200X series–AKA MYP (Mike Young Productions) of Masters of the Universe added a bunch of new characters to try to broaden the story that was started in the early 80’s. One of the coolest characters was Dekker, the trainer of Man-At-Arms.
The figure comes packaged as …

During the Great Unrest, Tylenol PM was scarce in availability and the warriors of Eternia couldn’t sleep, so what can a band of muscle bound weirdo’s do but fight until the transports came with their pills so they could get some damn rest already!
Yeah…I know, lame! BUT! Don’t run off yet, the best is yet to come as we look at the awesome inclusions of the Great Unrest Weapons Pak!
The Weapons Pak is carded with multiple, individual bubbles and includes a great assortment of deadly toys for the battleground in the form of swords, shields, clubs, staffs and even …
Thirty Years Of MOTU: Oct- Rattlor And Frosta!

October was a good month for the Masters of the Universe Classics line of collectible action figures. Featuring characters that are really cool and FINALLY a female Princess of Power figure that isn’t She-Ra or Adora!
In this thirty years of MOTU I am joined by Miss M for the review of Frosta because not only is it fitting for the number one She-Ra fan to present the new addition, but next year she will be taking over review duties for the 2013 Club Eternia subscription—but who knows, I might pop in to talk about a figure or two.
Here …

…So, what happened to the August figure you might ask? There wasn’t one… So here we go, the September figures are in and here is what we have.
Dragon Blaster Skeletor is just awesome, he was probably one of my favorites growing up and I had him a few times because I guess I used him in play too much.
Packaged, Dragon Blaster Skeletor looks kind of messy, but I didn’t leave him on the card for long.
Dragon Blaster Skeletor has a great piece of armor that is pretty much like the original 80’s figure. The forearms and lower legs …
Thirty Years Of MOTU: Jul- Spikor!

The single figure for July is Spikor, the spiny, purple, pig-nosed warrior. One of the most straight forward figures, Spikor is a great addition to the collector’s shelf.
Spikor dons removable armor with pointy spikes that could actually bother you if you squeeze too hard. His head features the same firm spikes, a great sculpt and some painted up eyes.
Spikor includes his classic orange club with a hand guard and it even features different shades of the orange in the spikes. Also included is his trident which snaps on like the weapons Trap-Jaw, Roboto, Hurricane Hordak and Horde Prime come …
Thirty Years of MOTU: Jun- Griffin, Horde Prime and Snake Man-At-Arms!

The month that never had to happen, I didn’t want any of the pieces on the subscription this month—another reason why I am finished with subscribing this year. Anyhow, this is what we have.
The Griffin is an over-sized and over-priced beast monster that really had no purpose except in the 200X cartoon where the villains would ride it into battle. The monster itself is made from the body and front legs of Battle Cat and the wings of Swiftwind. The head, saddle and rear legs are new. The sculpt is very nice but I just have no real interest in …
