Who We Are
NVEEE is a national 501(c)(3) bullying and suicide prevention nonprofit established in October 2009. We are a diverse team of educators, business leaders, social workers, mental health professionals, parents, and students who are committed to youth leadership, turning bystanders into upstanders, mentoring programs, and providing prevention education.
What We Do
NVEEE provides interactive bullying and suicide prevention education to K-12 school communities (including parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff), universities, community organizations, faith-based communities and workplaces. Many of our programs are co-facilitated by students in our leadership programs who have direct experiences as targets of bullying, or are former bystanders to situations involving bullying.
Peace Ambassador Leadership Program (PALP)
This program gives youth the ability to become trained leaders and co-facilitators of NVEEE’s “Be Upstanding” Bullying and Suicide Prevention Curriculum. Students receive training in public speaking, leadership, conflict resolution and more. They also participate in service learning projects throughout the year.
Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS)
PALS is a dynamic experience where students earn service hours, enjoy university campus life, and receive training in leadership, public speaking, empathy, life-skills, college/career prep, and more. PALS is hosted at Florida International University, University of Central Florida, and Georgetown University.
College Internship Program
Internships are offered year round, and students may receive academic credit based on the requirements of their institution. Areas of need include: marketing, graphic design, public relations, event planning, video production/editing, community outreach, fundraising, research, web support, and curriculum support.
Mentoring Program
Students in high school and college participate in our adult-to-teen mentoring program, meant to empower youth and young adults to become leaders, advocates, and agents of change in their personal and professional endeavors, by providing life skills and fostering personal growth through mentoring.
Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS) Recap
“I went to PALS and it completely changed me. I left more self-confident and well-spoken. This organization is truly something the world needs, and I’m making sure all my friends get involved in the near future.”

Ways To Get Involved
Our work is possible through the support of dedicated volunteers. From joining a committee, board of directors, or volunteering at an event, we guarantee that your time is appreciated at the highest level. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for adults of all ages.
Community partnerships are essential to our success. Our priority is to collaborate with organizations that share our vision of a healthier and safer community for all, to encourage our youth participants to engage in service opportunities with our partners, and to build strong community ties.
Whether you plan an event at work, or host a get together at home with friends, don’t be shy about supporting causes you care about. Corporate and social responsibility isn’t just something for your website. It should be so ingrained in your company culture that it becomes part of your brand.
Congressional Records
NVEEE has been recognized with four Congressional Records by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Congressman Michael Honda, and Congresswoman Lois Frankel. In 2019, Commissioner Eileen Higgins recognized November 16 as NVEEE Day in Miami Dade County.
