NYC Workers Show Strength and Solidarity at 2024 Labor Day Parade

On Saturday, September 7, more than 85,000 workers and their families took to the streets in a powerful and vibrant display of solidarity and pride, marching twenty blocks past tens of thousands of spectators who turned out in support. With the rain (mostly!) holding off, participants including unions, constituency groups, labor partners, bands, and more chanted and sometimes even danced their way up New York's famed 5th Avenue in the nation's oldest and largest Labor Day Parade, this year marking its 142nd Anniversary. Thank you to everyone who came out to make the day a success, demonstrating that we are All Workers, with Many Voices, in One Fight. Special thanks to our incredible volunteers who helped us make sure that a safe and joyful day was had by all!
Watch the official Parade highlight video here! And find more of the day's photos on our Facebook page here and here (more albums coming soon!).
You can also check out some of the coverage of the Parade from CBS (also here), Pix 11, and NY1, plus profiles of our Grand Marshal John J. Murphy and Parade Chair Fallon Ager-Norman in The Chief and the Amsterdam News. And mark your calendars for next year—September 6th, 2025!
