The show was built around an angle of the Steele Brothers wanting a shot at tag champs Swinger and Gilberti. Swinger and Gilberti said that they can only get a shot if they defeat the greatest tag team of all-time. So next week, Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton face The Steele Brothers.

GCW Interstate champion Cru Jones b “That 80’s Guy” John Bogie. Orion Bishop (w/Wicked Nemesis) b Tex Monroe. Bull Buchanan and Micah Taylor b Johnny Swinger and Zero Tolerance (w/Quentin Michaels and Tracy Taylor). David Young vs. Sonny Siaki in a “No DQ” match ended in a No Contest when both men put each other through a table at ringside. Tracy Taylor’s contract was once again on the line during the tag team match, when Micah forced Quentin Michaels to agree, Michaels told him if he beat Swinger that Micah would win back Tracy. Since Buchanan pinned Zero Tolerance in the tag team match, Michaels used the loophole to keep Tracy the property of Johnny Swinger. Shaun Banks’ birthday was celebrated, Cru and Quentin brought out a cake for him, but fought over it until they accidentally got Banks in the face with it. Taylor McKnight interviewed Randall Johnson about joining Princeton Gainey III. Gainey brought out a boatload of gifts but Johnson said he’d think about it. McKnight handled the ring announcing for the night, because Quentin Michaels forced Rob Russo to referee.

Cru Jones and The Merchants of Death (both subbing for Shaun Banks) b Bull Buchanan and Micah Taylor, Tracy Taylor (with Micah Taylor) b Johnny Swinger (with Quentin Michaels). Cru Jones attacked Micah Taylor before the main event and handcuffed him to the bottom rope during the match, but Micah distracted Swinger allowing Tracy to get the win. After the match, Swinger hit a piledriver on Tracy before Micah was able to free himself and run Swinger off.

- September 11, 2008 – Great Championship Wrestling in Phenix City, Alabama at the Gr8 Sk8 Plex before 150 fans: Orion Bishop b Kareem-Abdul Jamar, Scotty Beach b Mike Stratus w/Princeton Gailey III, Murder One w/Wicked Nemesis b John Bogie, Sonny Siaki b Tex Monroe, Sonny Siaki b J-Rod to win the GCW Interstate Heavyweight Title, Micah Taylor and Bull Buchanan w/Tracy Taylor b Johnny Swinger and Cru Jones. Before the matches, Taylor McKnight was interviewing GCW Owner Diane Hewes, wanting to know about the status of Quentin Michaels and Johnny Swinger. Michaels interrupted and was immediately fired by Hewes and dragged away by several wrestlers. Bull Buchanan also told McKnight that he is not finished with Cru Jones.

It went through no disqualification and falls count anywhere stipulations until John Slaughter rejoined Nemesis’ Mind Killers group)., Scotty Beach b Joey Lightning, Bull Buchanan and J-Rod b Sonny Siaki and Cru Jones when Buchanan pinned Siaki, Johnny Swinger and Jenni Wright (billed as a mystery partner) b Micah Taylor and Tracy Taylor when Swinger pinned Micah (Shaun “Betty” Banks originally came to ringside as Swinger’s female partner, dressed as a woman).

Johnny Swinger b Tracy Taylor by DQ after a low blow in a “One-Armed Bandit” match where Swinger’s arm was tied behind his back. GCW Heavyweight Champion Micah Taylor b Cru Jones (Swinger did a backstage interview stating that Bull Buchanan would not be at the show and he got Tracy Taylor to replace Buchanan by allowing the “One Armed Bandit” stipulation. Meanwhile, Quentin Michaels’ green sparkling jacket was seen in the background, indicating he had indeed returned. Later, footage was shown of Swinger talking to Michaels earlier that day in the arena).

The midgets were announced as no-showing due to a car accident.

There was an in-ring interview segment involving all three managers – Quentin Michaels and Wicked Nemesis and Princeton Gainey III. Kareem Abdul Jamar b John Bogie. Murder One and Orion Bishop and Cru Jones and Ron Stalker b Southside Trash (Rowdy and Raunchy) and Scotty Beach and J-Rod in an 8 man elimination match – the SST first eliminated Stalker, SST were both DQed for shoving ref Jeff McGowan, Bishop eliminated Beach making it 3-on-1 against the champion, J-Rod eliminated Murder One, but Jones pinned J-Rod after a super backcracker from Bishop.
- December 11, 2008 – Great Championship Wrestling – in in Phenix City, Alabama at the Gr8 Sk8 Plex: Ron Stalker b Joey Lightning, Kareem Abdul Jamar b Orion Bishop by DQ to advance to the Interstate Title Tourney Finals, Cru Jones and Johnny Slaughter b The Southside Trash, Shaun Banks b Rob Adonis to advance to the Interstate Title Tourney Finals, J-Rod b Murder One, and Cru Jones won a come-as-you-are Bunkhouse Battle Royal to earn the number one contendership for the GCW Title. The final four were Cru Jones, Orion Bishop, Tex Monroe, and Scotty Beach.
- December 18, 2008 – Great Championship Wrestling – Nowhere to Hide in in Phenix City, Alabama at the Gr8 Sk8 Plex: Slaughter (with Wicked Nemesis) beat Tex Monroe and Joey Lightning, Shaun Banks beat Kareem Abdul Jamar to win the GCW Interstate Title Tournament, Scotty Beach beat Ron Stalker (with Princeton Gainey III) Gainey jumped on Santa during the match, GCW Tag Team Champions Merchants of Death (Orion Bishop and Murder One) vs. Southside Trash ended as a Double DQ, J-Rod beat Cru Jones in a No DQ/Falls Count Anywhere match to retain the GCW Heavyweight Title. Said to be quite the wild brawl with action all over the arena and out into the parking lot.

Murder One b Rob Adonis after Slaughter and Wicked Nemesis interfered (After; The Merchants of Death attempted to break Adonis’ arm. The Southside Trash made the save. SST challenged MOD to a match. Wicked Nemesis agreed to a match with Slaughter and M-1 rather than the champions, M-1 and Orion Bishop). Tex Monroe b the debuting Omega with Texas Toast (sliced bread #2). The Southside Trash b Murder One and Slaughter (with Wicked Nemesis) by DQ when Slaughter used Wicked Nemesis’s cane on Rowdy (The Merchants of Death then attempted then to break Raunchy’s arm with Adonis coming to their rescue). Cru Jones and Shaun Banks b Frankie Valentine and J-Rod (Big brawl after the match).

- February 12, 2009 – Great Championship Wrestling – Miracle for Maegan (Fundraising Event) in Phenix City, Alabama at the Gr8 Sk8 Plex: Taylor McKnight introduced Raunchy of the South Side Trash leading everybody in prayer for Maegan. Diane Hewes and J.P Money then came out and thanked everyone for helping make this happen. Only declined. Wicked said he’d give him 7 days to render an official answer). Kyle Matthews b Chip Day. John Bogie and Kareem Abdul Jamar b Bobby Moore and Ron Stalker (with Princeton Gainey) when Jamar pinned Stalker. Rob Adonis b Cru Jones via DQ but Jones retained because the title can’t change hands on a DQ. Jones used a steel chain to score the pin. J-Rod stooged off finish to the ref, who reversed the decision. J-Rod and Frankie Valentine b Orion Bishop and Murder One (with Wicked Nemesis).
