| | TNA WRESTLING RESULTS NWA: Total Nonstop Action PPV August 4, 2004 - Nashville, Tennessee - Aired LiveAnnouncers: Mike Tenay & Don West.. PARKING LOT: Dusty Rhodes & Scott Hudson + David Young.. Dusty Rhodes arrives at the building and is immediately approached by Scott Hudson..Dusty Rhodes said Vince Russo will announce the new Championship Committee later on.. David Young walked out and told Dusty that he's sad to see his stint in TNA come to an end..David Young said that Vince Russo told him to go home and he would call him if he was needed.. ONE TIME ONLY NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH: Raven defeated Sabu.. Raven came to the ring dressed as the Sheik, in a total show of disrespect.. Sabu eventually pulled out a screwdriver and began repeatedly jabbing Raven in the head with it..Sabu left the ring to set up a table at ringside accross the ring apron and the guard rail..Raven fought back and hit Sabu with several drop-toe-holds into the steel chair..Raven backdropped over the top rope and through the table that had been set up earlier..Raven throws a few more chairs into the ring, along with a second table..Raven began smashing the chair over Sabu's head, but Sabu countered and put Raven through the table!Sabu gets a near-fall and then goes out to retreive a THIRD table!Raven battled back and nailed his Evenflow DDT on Sabu and only got a 2-count.. Raven sets up the table and lays Sabu on top of it, went for a DDT, but the table broke from the weight..Raven picked Sabu up off the mat and DDT'd him on the pieces of the broken table for the win! PARKING LOT: D-Ray 3000 & Scott Hudson + Shark Boy + Alex Shelley + Goldylocks + Abyss.. A limo pulls up to the building and D-Ray 3000 gets out and asks Scott Hudson where the Asylum at?Scott Hudson says he's here, and shows him the big building off to the left..Shark Boy arrives with a tray full of cocktail shrimp and passes it into the limo through the window..Alex Shelley gets out of the limo and yells at Shark Boy because Goldylocks HATES tails on her shrimp..Goldylocks steps out of the limo and tells D-Ray 3000 to get the bags from the trunk..D-Ray 3000 opens the trunk and Abyss gets out climbs out, as D-Ray runs away in fear! CONTRACT VS MONEY MATCH: Abyss defeated Sonny Siaki.. Sonny Siaki grabbed the case of money from the announcers table and uses it to knock Abyss out!Desire came to ringside to attack Goldylocks, distracting the referee while Siaki went for the pin!Alex Shelley ran down to help Goldylocks, attracting Siaki's attention..Abyss snuck up on Sonny Siaki and nailed the Shock Treatment finisher for the victory!Golylocks now owns Sonny Siaki's contract, along with D-Ray 3000, Shark Boy, Alex Shelley & Abyss.. INTERVIEW: Scott Hudson + Michael Shane & Frankie Kazarian.. Michael Shane says that Vince Russo has come up with an idea to crown the true X-Division champion..Michael Shane says that no matter what, he and Kazarian have decided they will never ever face each other 1-on-1..Frankie Kazarian says that he and Michael Shane are not only the coolest but they rule the X-Division.. TAG MATCH: Frankie Kazarian & Michael Shane w/Tracy defeated Jerry Lynn & Chris Sabin..INTERVIEW: Scott Hudson & Monty Brown.. Monty Brown talks about how he has beaten everyone from Siaki, to DLo, and everyone in between..Monty Brown saays he is sick of having his interviews and matches interupted..Monty Brown says that from now on, if anyone so much as mentions his name, they will get the Pounce!! IN THE RING: Vince Russo + Dusty Rhodes + Jeff Jarrett + Jeff Hardy + Monty Brown + Ron Killings.. Vince Russo says that when he was in WWF and WCW, he always bailed out when things got tough..Vince Russo says he is a new man and he has decided to stay in TNA even though a lot of the fans & boys don't like him..Vince Russo says he has assembled a Championship Committee to help lighten his work load..Vince Russo names Harley Race, Larry Zbyszko & "the toughest man to ever come from the state of Texas" in the Committee.. Dusty Rhodes stood backstage with a smile on his face because he assumes he will be the third member of the Committee..Vince Russo announces the final member of the Championship Committee.... Terry Funk!Dusty Rhodes joined Vince Russo in the ring and complains that Terry Funk was one of his biggest rivals!Jeff Jarrett showed up and said he has to give Vince Russo props for not putting Rhodes on the Committee..Dusty Rhodes takes off his shirt and brawls with Jeff Jarrett..Jeff Hardy ran in to help Dusty Rhodes, who gets his hands on Jeff Jarrett's guitar!Monty Brown ran down as well and gave Dusty Rhodes the Pounce!Ron Killings ran down and brawled with Monty Brown to the back..Jeff Hardy was left in the ring and he held the NWA World title belt above his head! IRISH WEAPONS MATCH: "Irish" Pat Kenney defeated Big Vito w/Trinity.. Three mystery cases were placed in the ring and inside one of them contains an "Irish" weapon..To unlock the cases you must get to a Rugby Ball which has the key to the cases on it..Trinity gots the Rugby ball and opened one of the cases, but it is empty..Big Vito eventually opened the second case, but it is also empty..Pat Kenney battled back and got the Rugby ball but Glen Gilbertti ran down and stole the ball!Glen Gilbertti tried to run out of the building but he is cut off by David Young!David Young snatched the ball away from Glen Gilbertti and brought it back to the ring for Pat Kenney..Pat Kenney unlocked the third case and took out a green chain and whacks Big Vito with it for the win! COUNTRY WHIPPIN STRAP MATCH: America's Most Wanted defeated Team Canada (Petey Williams & Bobby Rude).. Scott D'Amore tried to get involved numerous times but each time it backfired..AMW went for the Death Sentence finisher but Scott D'Amore interfered successfully this time!James Storm reversed the Canadian Destroyer finisher and scored a pin on Petey Williams!Team Canada attacked AMW after the match until Triple X made the save.. GRUDGE MATCH: AJ Styles defeated Kid Kash w/Dallas.. AJ Styles wins the right to enter next weeks X-Division Gauntlet at #20!After the match, Dallas & Kid Kash beat down AJ Styles some more until Jerry Lynn & Chris Sabin made the save..Team Canada ran down as well, followed by 3 Live Krew to even the odds..Monty Brown, America's Most Wanted & Triple X also ran in to end the show with a huge brawl!!
