John Carpenter's THE THING opened in theaters on Friday, June 25, 1982. In the decades since, the fan following, love, and passion for this film has been undying.

We first launched this site in October of 2001 . . . unbelievably, this year will mark our 23rd Anniversary online as the internet's premiere resource for the film with a fandom community that grows daily. Thank you to all fans who have joined us along the way, and the die-hards who have been with us since the beginning.
